Knoxville Center Mall
The Knoxville Center Mall is located east of downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, just off I-640. It is owned and managed by Simon Property Group and was built in 1984. After the renovation in 1997, it now covers 981,000 square feet of retail space divided into two levels. It is estimated that 7.5 million people visit this mall each year.
This mall is anchored by Dillard's, JCPenny, Belk and Sears, but there are other 130 shops and services, including Aéropostale, The Children's Place, EB Games, Express, Finish Line, B. Moss Clothing Company, Bath & Body Works, The Buckle, American Eagle Outfitters, Lane Bryant, Champs Sports, Foot Locker, LensCrafters, Limited Too, Old Navy, PacSun, The Body Shop, Gymboree, Hot Topic, Journeys, and Yankee Candle. The eateries in the food court include Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell and Subway, but there is also Applebee's and Wendy's. During weekdays and on Saturday, the mall is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Sunday it is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Families are welcomed with a children's play area, stroller rental and restrooms. Parking is free, but there are no valet parking services available. The mall is also considered safer compared with other malls, but a man was shot in the gym at the mall recently.
There is a 10-screen Regal Cinema theatre, but those who want to take a break from shopping can also visit the surrounding area. Spruce Spring Park is located in the proximity of this mall.
